This past Sunday, April 22nd, was Earth Day - thus I wanted to do something all week long. I started with having students create an Earth Day Haiku - they turned out AWESOME! Their creativity never ceases to amaze me.
I have refocused efforts in recycling and placed my recycling bag right next to the door. We have managed to fill it twice already this week! GO TEAM EARTH!
My Study Skills students are doing an assignment fully online through Google Forms in their Google Classroom. They will be sharing what they learned via google slides. NO PAPER! We will do this a lot more from now on.
Sciences are watching videos on what would happen to earth if humans were to suddenly disappear! I suggest you watch it - it is so telling! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyEUyqfrScU&t=4505s
We can't live without the earth but it can definitely live without us!
Saving paper for a week isn't terribly challenging and the kids go with the flow. I hope to be able to continue this on through next week and perhaps next year, I can go mainly paperless!
